The Lions Club of Washington unites neighbors around a shared commitment to community improvement and service — for over 80 years and counting.
Founded on June 4, 1941, the Lions Club of Washington has a long tradition of service and community leadership. From the start, its members united around a shared commitment focused on community improvement and service.
The first civic project was establishing the Washington Ambulance Association in 1942 — an effort that remains the club’s cornerstone project today. Over eight decades, the club has supported countless local initiatives, from youth programs to public safety.
More than eight decades later, the Lions Club of Washington continues its mission with the same spirit of generosity and purpose that defined its founding.
Join us for the 19th Annual Car-B-Que Show on Sunday, September 27 – featuring the Monkeemobile, great food, music, and over 100 show cars.
The Washington Lions Club holds its annual Labor Day lobster sale on Saturday, September 25, 9am-1pm at the Sheila Anson River Walk Pavilion.
Each year, the Washington Lions Club honors fallen heroes by placing hundreds of American flags across Washington Depot in a moving tribute to Memorial Day.
